DOCUMENT TITLE: First Codicil to Last Will and Testament of Lafayette Ronald Hubbard
SUBJECT: Codicil to the 10 May 1982 Will; reaffirmation of disinheritance of L. Ron Hubbard Jr., a.k.a. Nibs Hubbard, a.k.a. Ronald DeWolf; addition of directions for cremation.
PARTIES: Purportedly, L. Ron Hubbard; Sherman Lenske (drafted the Codicil according to his testimony); Patrick D. Broeker and Anne M. Broeker, witnesses to signing
BACKGROUND AND NOTES
Purportedly executed on 14 November 1983 by the missing L. Ron Hubbard, one of the most unusual things about this document is its timing. In June of 1983 Ronald DeWolf's attempt to gain receivership over L. Ron Hubbard's property and estate had been thrown out of court. Why did "Hubbard" feel the need five months later to merely reaffirm a disinheritance that had already been spelled out clearly in the 10 May 1982 Will to begin with?
The subject of the newly-added paragraph ELEVENTH, the order for immediate cremation without autopsy, has taken on a sinister cast in light of widespread speculation--and with good cause--that L. Ron Hubbard had long been dead at the time of this "Codicil" and of his announced "death" on 24 January 1986.
